Live chat and takeover
Watch conversations as they happen, step in, or turn the AI off.
Watch conversations as they happen
The Chats tab lists live conversations under "Live conversations — click any to take over". Messages appear as they are sent, not after the chat ends.
The Dashboard tab shows who is on your site right now: their page, city, device, and how long they have been there, and whether they have started chatting.
Take over a conversation
Open a live chat and switch it from Bot to Human. From that moment the bot stops replying entirely and whatever you type goes straight to the visitor.
You do not have to flip the switch first — just sending a message puts the chat into human mode automatically.
The visitor sees your Human takeover message, then your replies. They do not see a "switch" or any indication of what happened behind the scenes.
To hand it back, switch the chat to Bot again.
AI reply suggestions
While you are handling a chat yourself, the suggestions button drafts replies based on the conversation and what your bot knows about your business.
Click one to drop it into the message box, then edit it or send it as is. Nothing is sent until you send it.
Run it as pure live chat
LiveCustomer does not have to use AI at all. Set a conversation to Human and the assistant is out of the picture for that chat — the visitor is talking only to you.
If you want that permanently, leave chats in human mode and treat LiveCustomer as ordinary live chat software: a widget on your site, conversations in your dashboard, you answering them.
Cover your off-hours. Most businesses run the bot by default and take over when they are free, so nobody waits for an answer overnight.
Chat history
Every conversation is saved and searchable, whether the bot or a person answered it. Use it to see what customers actually ask, spot gaps in your FAQs, and check what was promised on a job.
